Peptica C18 Columns

C18 phases are typically employed for peptides between 300 dalton and 5,000 dalton as well as for tryptic digests. The retentive C18 phase is particularly suited for lower molecular weight peptides. Proteins don’t typically respond well on C18 phases. However, with the superior bonding technology used by Diazem even larger proteins give good results on Peptica C18 columns.

Peptica
C18-A

Bonded on 200‰ silica, this product has a higher surface area to give better resolution on small to intermediate sized peptides. This silica is bonded with an exclusive pH stable phase and can be used in the pH range 1 to 10.

Conditions
Eluent: A: 5% ACN/0.1% TFA; 50% ACN/0.1% TFA
Gradient: 0%B to 30%B (in 10 min) to 100% (at 20 min)
Flow: 1.5mL/min
Detection UV @220nm
Sample 1. Gly-Tyr; 2. Val-Tyr-Val; 3. Enkephalin-Lys; 4. Enkephalin-Met; 5. Angiotensin-II; 6. Enkephalin-Leu; 7. Eledoisin

Peptica
C18-B

Bonded on 300‰ silica, this product uses proprietary Diazem pre-capping which gives very clean peak shapes and no ghosting, even on the most difficult proteins. The large pore diameter allows chromatography of higher molecular weight analytes.
