Peptica C8 Columns

C8 phases are typically employed for peptides and proteins with molecular weights between 5,000 and 15,000 dalton, where most C18 phases may be too retentive and where most C4 phases are too weak. Diazem C8 columns have the added benefit of alternate selectivities relative to other C8 columns on the market.

Peptica
C8-A

This phase is bonded on 200‰ silica for higher surface area. Higher surface area gives better resolution of small to intermediate size peptides. This silica is bonded with an exclusive pH stable phase and can be used in the pH range of 1 to 10.

Conditions
Eluent: A: 5% ACN/0.1%TFA; 50% ACN/0.1%TFA
Gradient: 0% B to 30% B (in 10 min) to 100% (at 20 min)
Flow: 1.5mL/min
Detection: UV @ 220nm
Sample: 1. Gly-tyr; 2. Val-Tyr-Val; 3. Enkephalin-Lys; 4. Enkephalin-Met; 5. Angiotensin-II; 6. Enkephalin-Leu; 7. Eledoisin

Peptica
C8-B

Bonded on 200‰ silica, the unique chemistry on this product gives very clean peak shapes, as well as radical changes in the elution order (selectivity) of peptides containing basic amino acid. Good peak shape and alternate selectivity make this column a necessary tool for the protein and peptide chromatographer.
