Phenyl phases are typically employed for larger peptides and proteins with molecular weights above about 15,000 dalton, or when more conventional phases do not give adequate selectivity. However, many chromatographers use phenyl phases to obtain alternate selectivity or to obtain shorter retention on smaller peptides.
Bonded on 200‰ silica for higher surface area, this product gives good resolution on intermediate sized peptides and proteins. Chromatographic characteristics of this column are equal to or better than any phenyl column on the market.
Bonded on 300‰ silica, this product uses the same Diazem pre-cap used in the Peptica C18-B, and Peptica C4-B. It gives a very clean peak shape and no ghosting even on the most difficult proteins. The large pore diameter allows for chromatography of high molecular weight analytes and is excellent for small difficult peptides as well.
