Water & Wastewater Purification

Water Purification

As ubiquitous and precious as petroleum is to our 21st century modality, it is secondary to our need to protect and manage our most essential resource: water. Heavy metal contamination - mercury, lead and arsenic - threaten ground and public water systems. Years of poor toxic waste management and disposal - in some cases radioactive - magnifies the threat.

Diazem Chelation Technology

Diazem has developed a line of separation tools specifically addressing water treatment issues: heavy metal removal, anion removal, acid scavengers and precious metal extraction. Diazem Chelation Technology marries surface science and nanodendritic technology to create metal chelation and organic chemicals that rival leading industry technologies. Diazem has filed composition of matter and application patents around the use of these materials.

The technology has been validated by numerous sources:

►Diazem technology has been selected as the flagship technology for mercury monitoring by a university expertise center focused on mercury contamination in the Great Lakes.

► A major mining company in Mexico recently incorporated Diazem technology to successfully remove copper and zinc contaminants from their gold mining process, a breakthrough that was instrumental in the company's ability to obtain financing to begin mining.

► A Fortune 500 company selected Diazem's Chelation Technology to remove radioactive radium from the water residue of a mining process. The radium level was successfully reduced from 15 pico curries to less than 1 pico currie, well below the acceptable limit of 5 pico curries.
